Groceries, meals and prescriptions, brought to the door
Same phone number as rides. We bring everything inside, and it all goes on your account.
Grocery shopping
We shop from your parent's list, carry the bags in and put the cold items away.
Meal delivery
We order from the restaurants your parent likes and check the order against their diet before it goes in.
Prescription pickup
When the pharmacy says it's ready, we pick it up and bring it home the same day, so doses aren't missed.
Everyday errands
Post office, dry cleaning, picking up supplies from the medical equipment store. If it's on the way, just ask.
Three steps, one phone call
Call us
Your parent or anyone in the family calls 781-957-8076 with the list, the pharmacy or the meal order.
We confirm
We read the order back, check anything unclear, and give you a delivery window.
We deliver inside
A Care Remedy team member brings everything in, puts the cold items away and texts the family when it's done.
Exactly what we do for each errand
Groceries
- We shop your parent's usual store from their list
- If an item is out, we call before swapping it
- Heavy items like water, juice and pet supplies are carried in
- Cold and frozen items go straight into the fridge
- The receipt comes with the bags
- Save a standing list and we repeat it each week
Prefer to shop? Add a store stop to any ride and an aide can push the cart.
Meals
- Orders from the restaurants your parent already likes
- Low salt, diabetic, soft food and allergy notes kept on file
- We check the order against those notes before it goes inside
- Set the same meal days every week
- We can help you apply for free home delivered meals through MassOptions
Need meals cooked at home? A home health aide can cook, serve and clean up at $45 an hour.
Prescriptions
- Pickup the same day the pharmacy says it's ready
- Pharmacy and prescriber details kept on file
- Copays go on your account, so no card changes hands
- Handed directly to your parent, not left at the door
- Can be added to the ride home from an appointment
Our team members are not nurses and do not give medication.
Common questions
Do we need a membership?
No. Anyone can book an errand. Members get the same phone line for rides, aides and errands in one place.
How is it paid?
Errands are billed to your account with the store or pharmacy receipt attached. Family members can pay from anywhere. Call 781-957-8076 for current errand pricing.
Can a family member who lives far away place the order?
Yes. Call or email us with the list and the address. You get a text when it's delivered.
Is there a free option we should try first?
Yes. Adults 60 and older who are homebound can get free home delivered meals through the state's Senior Nutrition Program. Call MassOptions at 1-800-243-4636. Many Councils on Aging also run volunteer shopping programs. Read our guide to free grocery and meal help.
Where do you deliver?
Across Massachusetts from our offices in Woburn, Brockton and Springfield. Call us with the address and we'll confirm.
Errands can be added to any ride. See weekly Ride Plans.
