Do You Need a Wheelchair-Accessible Van?
We’ve got you covered. Our fleet of vehicles is designed to accommodate all mobility devices, ensuring a seamless and comfortable travel experience. From powered wheelchairs to manual ones
How much does private wheelchair transportation cost?
$115 each way or $230 round trip within 5 miles, then $2 a mile. The price is the same whether the ride is to a doctor, the airport, a wedding or the grocery store. Need help with stairs at the house? Add stair assistance to the same booking.
Does Medicare or MassHealth pay for wheelchair van rides?
Original Medicare does not cover routine wheelchair van rides. Some Medicare Advantage plans include a set number of rides, so call your plan first. MassHealth members can request rides to covered medical appointments through their doctor, but those trips are scheduled ahead and cannot be used for errands or events. Private pay fills the gaps: same week rides, non medical trips, a companion who waits, or a driver who comes inside.
Do you go inside and help, or just curb to curb?
Door through door. Our driver comes to the door, helps with the transfer, secures the wheelchair with a 4 point tie down and walks you into the building on arrival. How we secure a wheelchair.
Can you take power wheelchairs and scooters?
Yes, our ramp and lift vans take manual and power chairs. Tell us the chair model and the rider's weight when you book so we send the right vehicle.
Can a family member ride along?
Usually, yes. Tell us when you book so we plan the seating.
Can you take me home after a procedure with sedation?
Yes. Many surgery centers will not release a sedated patient to a rideshare. We can provide the ride and an escort. What to arrange before a procedure.
Do you do airport and long distance trips?
Yes, including Logan and Bradley, Cape Cod and trips to Boston hospitals such as Dana-Farber. Logan airport rides and Cape Cod trips.
How far ahead should I book?
A day or more ahead is best. Same day rides depend on availability, so call 781-957-8076 or use the booking form above.
